Although, yes, there are literally 100's (if not 1000's) of websites and blogs out there, all dedicated to helping you create your best life, not all are created equal. As wellness advocates (who are seriously obsessed with being up-to-date with the wellness scene), there is nothing we love more than scouring the web for the latest healthy recipes, trends and wellness advice. So, you can bet we know the hottest spots to look for it! Here are our 5 go-to health and wellness websites and blogs, that we pretty much visit at least once a day. Well and Good is our go-to for everything health and wellness. Created by Alexia Brue and Melisse Gelula and based out of NYC, Well + Good covers the gamut of health and wellness advice, trends, tips and more. Among their main categories (GOOD SWEAT, GOOD LOOKS, GOOD ADVICE and GOOD FOOD), you'll find inspiring articles, healthy recipes, on-spot trends and expert insights. We especially love their features, Wellness Confidential (where they ask health gurus and celebrities and series of quick fire wellness questions) and Refrigerator Look Book (where they take a peak inside some of your fave healthy people's refrigerators to check out what ingredients they use and how they whip them up). The bottom line? If you love health and wellness, you need to be following this amazing site.
The Chalkboard Mag is your ultimate guide to living well (and one of our all-time favourite spots for all things health and wellness). Created by Editor-in-Chief Suzanne Hall (who also created the renowned Pressed Juicery), this beautiful and informative website offers articles on food and nutrition, fitness and wellbeing and style and living. But, one of our fave parts of the site is 'the shop', where you can peruse everything from natural beauty products to green home decor to top wellness books, and more. A mix of expert insights (think Living Well With...and Mornings With...) round out this sensational site. A must-follow for any wellness junkie!
If you're looking for the best place online to find beautiful food photography combined with seriously delicious and inspiring vegan and plant-based recipes, Oh She Glows is the place you need to be. Created by Angela Liddon (of Oakville, Ontario, our home town!), Oh She Glows is a recipe-based blog which celebrates Liddon's passion for plant-based food. The recipes are easy-to-follow, brimming with healthy ingredients and a great way to introduce your family to plant-based recipes. If you're looking to get your hands on a hard copy of her recipes (or you just want something beautiful to grace your kitchen shelves), Liddon also has published two stunning cookbooks, The Oh She Glows Cookbook and Oh She Glows Everyday. But be warned, once you try some of her recipes, you'll have a hard time looking back!
Deliciously Ella is where we go when we're looking for our daily dose of food inspiration. Created by Ella Woodward in 2012, this site has as much heart as it has amazingly delicious and simple-to-make vegan and plant-based recipes. According to Ella, 'it’s where my love of food, cooking and taking care of myself started, and where I laid the foundations to start building a business within this space.' Ella's journey to find health and wellness will not only inspire you to make changes in your own life, it'll probably give you the kick in the pants you need to create a positive and fundamental shift. We seriously cannot get enough of her accessible recipes and her passionate outlook.
